Petrol Stations that come into the market in the Western Cape are extremely scarce and when they do come into the market there are long lists of Prospective Buyers and in general these businesses are sold on a rapid basis. We have been in Business Broking for fifteen years and have sold many Stations. Our company is well known amongst Petrol Station owners and they are prepared to afford us a sole mandate to sell their Stations for them. Few other Brokers actually have stock on their books.

Please take note. If you want to purchase a Petrol Station, you would need 60% of the purchase price in un-encumbered funds. Yes basically you need to have the Cash available. This entails having available 50% of the purchase price in Cash and an additional 10% for Stock and Working Capital. This is a pre-requisite from the Oil companies. The Oil Companies would simply turn you down if you cannot supply evidence that the funds are in fact available. You could go through the whole process and be turned down at the interview with the Oil Company.

With all due respect, we have been sending out hundreds of emails containing confidential information pertaining to high level businesses on a daily basis to Prospective Buyers. We have a commitment in writing to the Seller that we will only expose confidential information to third parties, who we have qualified. We are not trying to boast, but we have hosts of qualified Prospective Buyers on our books just waiting for the right opportunity to come to into the market.

A Policy decision was taken within our company, that no information will flow to Prospective Buyers unless they can demonstrate that they have the right make-up to operate a service station, prove is provided that funds are in place and last but not least that they are prepared to pay us a visit in person.
